PRIVACY &
SUBMISSIONS.

Last updated October 9, 2026

What we collect

When you submit a spotlight, we save your business, organization or event name, public link, category, description and adult contact email. If you provide them, we also save a public event date and venue. We record your permission to be contacted and have the public information edited and shared, along with the submission time and a receipt reference.

Where your submission goes

Submissions are stored in a private database and reviewed through an authenticated organizer inbox. They are not automatically displayed on the website. The organizer may use your contact email for questions about your submission. The contact email is not included in public spotlights.

What may be shared

With the permission you provide on the form, suitable public information may be edited and featured on The Jungle website, Facebook Page or community group. Submitting does not guarantee publication, a response or a particular response time. The Jungle does not claim an endorsement from any organization mentioned in a submission.

Please keep personal information out

This form is for adults 18 and older. Do not include children’s names, identifying details or photos; private home addresses; passwords; financial details; or sensitive personal information. Only share information you have permission to submit. Use a public venue name for an event location.

Cookies and abuse prevention

The form uses a short-lived, first-party session cookie to help protect submissions. We store a daily hash based on the connection’s IP address to limit rapid repeat form requests; the submission database does not store the raw IP address. Expired form-session records are periodically removed. Hosting and sign-in providers may process technical connection information to operate and secure the service.

Access, corrections and removal

The organizer keeps submissions for review and related follow-up. To ask about access, a correction or removal, message The Jungle Facebook Page and include your receipt reference if available. Please don’t send sensitive information. Information already shared publicly may have been copied by others.

Third-party links

Facebook and other linked websites have their own privacy policies. Opening a link takes you to that service. The Jungle does not embed Facebook tracking widgets in this website.
